Миграционная подвижность людей, проживающих на Южном Кавказе - динамичное явление, которое находится под влиянием изменения социальных, экономических и даже политических реалий в этом регионе. В данном докладе анализ сосредоточен на трех странах, принадлежащих к этому региону, а именно, Армении, Азербайджане и Грузия. Эти страны по-разному прошли через период посткоммунистического перехода, который оказал свое влияние на краткосрочную и долгосрочную миграции в эти страны и из них. Южный Кавказ является регионом относительно высокого уровня нестабильности, замороженных конфликтов и постоянных геополитической борьбы. Каждое политическое решение, естественно, влияет на динамику миграции: ее объем, характер и, конечно, направление.

Представляемый доклад свидетельствует об этой постоянно меняющейся реальности и создает прочную основу для понимания ее динамики. В нем собраны плоды двух лет работы, проводимой сетью CARIM- East (Консорциум прикладных исследований по международной миграции). Доклад состоит из коллекции информативных глав по различным темам миграции с трех точек зрения: демографической, юридической и социально-политической.
