    • At the beginning of 2021, 5.3% of the population of the EU-27 were citizens of countries outside the union, 8.4% were born outside it
    • One in five people aged 15-74 living in private households was born abroad or at least one of their parents was born abroad
    • Among natives of other countries, those born outside the EU-27 predominate, 41% of those born abroad have citizenship of the country of residence
    • 52% of those born abroad had both parents born outside the EU-27
    • The proportion of young people aged 15-29 among those born abroad is 17%, and among the children of international migrants - 40%
    • More than half of the natives of other countries live in small towns and suburbs
